Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise. Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective - James 5:13-16

Prayer. It is the simplest, easiest act of faith that every true sons and daughters of God should know. It is the perfect testimony of ones faith and love to the Lord Jesus. We pray because we want to rekindle our connection with the Lord. We pray at times of hardships and at times of good fortunes. We pray for forgiveness when we have fallen, and we pray for those who are lost. We pray for the sick, to those stricken with tragedies and catastrophe. It is the most powerful weapon we have because to pray is to know that God is, and always will be in control.

As the the apostle James stated in the bible, "The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective". We put our faith in the Lord, and through prayer is where we truly understand and feel the presence and salvation that He has given us. In all of our hardships, in all of our successes, always remember that God is in control. Pray to the Lord. Ask His guidance. Thank Him in times of blessing and seek Him in times of trouble.

For now and forever, God is in control.

Are you hurt, heartbroken or depressed? Are you struggling with life's challenges that you feel like you are being torn apart? Or you simply want to thank the Lord for all the blessings you have?
